Planning a celebration? Use our cake serving size guide to choose the right Cakebread cake for your gathering.
Serving estimates are based on standard celebration portions. The final number of servings will vary depending on how generously the cake is cut. If cake is the only dessert being served, consider choosing the next size up.
Round Cakes

Choosing the Right Cake Size
Consider ordering a larger cake when:
- Cake will be the only dessert served.
- You prefer generous portions.
- Your guest count may increase.
- You would like leftover cake.
- Children and adults will receive different portion sizes.
Cutting Your Cake
Smaller round cakes can be divided into traditional wedge-shaped slices. For 9″ and 12″ cakes, cutting the cake in straight rows can provide more consistent portions.
Use a long, sharp knife warmed in hot water, then warm and wipe the blade between cuts for cleaner slices.
